Polka Dot Hop - Letters

A fun thing to do for letter review is draw polka dots on the sidewalk and jump to them. My daughter and I take turns yelling out letters to each other and trying to see if we can find and hop on them! It's pretty fun and a great way to get your wiggles out!
This is also a good time to find out which letter the know and which ones they don't. Bring along a paper and jot them down. When they as why, just tell them your writing down all the letter they are really good at so you can show their daddy how good they are.

That is a really cute idea. Did you just come up with it? It's a good one, I bet brandon would love it.

When I was a reading tutor I had a kindergartener who actually started crying one because he had to sit down and write his letters. The next time I tutored him I was prepared with an arsenal of fun activities that were guaranteed not to make him cry. After that I didn't dread having to make him sit still and he actually laughed and played at tutoring!!! It was such a relief! I still have lots more ideas I just haven't blogged them yet, and yes to answer your question it was my idea. They just keep swirling around in my head and I can't make them stop sometimes.
